Management

    Lisa Aneiva
    President/Owner and Instructor

Lisa's idea for a ceramics studio came after a family member entered into a long and desperate battle with depression. Ceramics became a haven for her since doing this fun and enjoyable activity with her family helped heal relationships and alleviate discouragement. She saw how confidence began to build in fragile family members as they found ways to release their creative potential and realize their creative capabilities.

When Lisa founded Your World Pottery, Inc. in June 2010, the business focused largely on custom-designed ceramics and photographs on ceramics. Hearing from customers that they wanted to make their own artwork, she started giving workshops and classes in ceramics painting. After industry-wide issues sprang up in the paint-your-own pottery industry in 2010, Lisa diversified studio activities to include fused glass, mosiacs, slip casting, and the potter's wheel. Through its Enrichment Programs, Creativity on Fire has taught ceramics to over 170 elementary-age students in Arlington County.

Lisa manages business operations, marketing, finances and growth for the business. She earned a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and an MBA from the George Washington University. Lisa volunteers her time at McLean Bible Church where she leads a Women's Small Group and is part of The Edge Community.
